Successful ICSG 2015, nominations for ISGO-exec, and looking towards future ISGO meetings August 03, 2015 Dear ISGO members, As many of you saw for yourselves, the ICSG 2015 meeting "Deep sequencing meets structural biology" was a great success, with a high attendance and superb talks, discussions and social events. At the ISGO Open Meeting at ICSG 2015 the main subject for deliberation was the future of ISGO and of the ICSG meetings. After considerable discussion, the general (but not unanimous) conclusion was that it would be great to continue both ISGO and the ICSG meetings in some form. Andrzej Joachimiak volunteered to hold the next ICSG meeting at Argonne, USA, and Zihe Rao volunteered to host the following meeting in China. The ISGO Executive Committee is composed of Lucia Banci, Aled Edwards, Jennifer Martin, Joel Sussman, Tom Terwilliger, and Shigeyuki Yokoyama. The Executive Committee is elected by ISGO members for 4-year (or two ICSG meetings) terms. We would like to solicit nominations for three members to replace Aled Edwards, Jennifer Martin, and Joel Sussman, as their terms are expiring. These members may be nominated again, or new members may be nominated. One candidate from Asia, one from Europe, and one from the Americas will be selected by vote of the ISGO membership. We encourage nominations that will ensure a diverse leadership team. Nominations can be sent to any ISGO Executive Committee member and are due Sept. 1, 2015.
